Haven't written in a while. Been busy trying to figure out my new life here in Tinseltown, it's truly a mesmerizing place. People dream of coming here, rightfully so, but it's not a beautiful city. LA is dirty, and riddled with poverty and the homelessness is a real problem here. Not because they disturb, but because they seem to be a natural part of the environment, and so incredibly easy to ignore. There's no support system, so they keep building their society outside the society, but still within. It's painful to watch how poorly the state of California is dealing with this problem. Rant over. This makes me livid.
LA is also beautiful; the ocean, the mountains, the weather! It's alive, vibrant, gritty and real, truly a cultural melting pot! people come here from all over the world to fulfill there dreams. You can always feel at home, because no one is. It's like the city is bipolar, so much happiness and intensity, but also a lot of pain. You need to be tough, it might sound obvious, but it's not to all. Persistent, confident, hard working, arrogant? delusional? I truly think you can do anything in this city if you possess at least a few of those qualities. This is a place of survival. I'm not being cynical, I'm being real. I've only been here for two months, but I've made a lot of discoveries. You need to live for your passion. Over all, I'm happy I moved here. I also realize, things take time...
Rant over. I need to live in the meantime.
Me and Tom arrived to LA in late September after an intense road trip, to say the least, (I'm still editing the video). We were pretty lucky and found an apartment after only a couple of days in an airbnb.

It's a Studio and it's still pretty empty, but we do have a sofa now. We're are taking it step by step. I've been working as a paid background extra for Central Casting, I've done shows such as Law and Order and Superstore. I'm also doing paid audience work, (yep, you can get paid to watch talk shows!), but I've realized that I'm truly in need of a "real bread job". Give me a part-time job please, anyone? Tom's been working at a pop up museum: the museum of ice cream.

A field trip to paradise.
Besides looking for "real" jobs, I've been in my first paid film, I've also been in contact with a couple of agents, we'll see what happens. Also got a photo shoot coming up next week, I'm in desperate need of some new photos...
The summary is; I'm actually really excited about my life. Good things are coming, I'm working on living more in the now (letting that be a promise for 2018), and I think we'll be happy here.
Little Tokyo: one of my favorite areas in DTLA.

...Also I've recently started a new project called 'The Monthly Monologue', check it out here on my YouTube channel, first video is out now! On here I'll be posting a new monologue every month, performed by me.
Until next time,
Happy Holidays!
God Jul!
